The Institute for Arts Integration and STEAM Announces Leadership Transition

Sally Baker to Assume CEO Role as Founder Susan Riley Transitions to Strategic Advisory Position

Westminster, MD – November 20, 2025 – The Institute for Arts Integration and STEAM, the world's largest online professional development provider for educators using arts-integrated approaches, today announced a planned leadership transition effective January 2, 2026. Founder Susan Riley will step down from her role as Chief Executive Officer, with Sally Baker assuming the position.

Baker currently serves as STEAM Specialist for the Georgia Department of Education, bringing extensive experience in educational leadership, STEAM education, and arts integration to her new role. Her appointment represents a strategic evolution for the Institute as it continues to expand its impact on educators worldwide.

"This transition has been thoughtfully planned to ensure continuity and growth for the Institute," said Riley. "Sally brings a tremendous set of skills, talents, and vision for the future that is exciting as we enter this new era in education."

Riley, who founded the Institute and built it into an internationally recognized resource for educators, will remain owner of the company and continue to support the organization in a strategic capacity.

"What an opportunity to imagine farther and imagine more," said Baker. "I'm humbled and thrilled to build on the incredible work that's been done, making the Institute the go-to resource network for schools and organizations seeking arts integration and STEAM training on a national and international scale."

The leadership transition positions the Institute to build on its established foundation while adapting to the evolving needs of educators in an increasingly complex educational landscape.
