Islamic Architecture and Tessellations
GRADE 6 SOCIAL STUDIES
Students will be learning about the symbolism of the Islamic culture found in a close analyzation of tessellations and geometric designs, found throughout their culture and architecture. After viewing many examples, students will complete a thorough analysis of a piece of Islamic art, as influenced by idea, emotion and visual information.
